This is a handmade teapot from Miaoli clay and nano silver from Taiwan. You can see mastery in the ceramicist's skill with the sphere shaped inside the teapot, optimal for pouring since it prevents tea leaves from going into the spout.

This teapot is part of the River Bend collection. Each teapot is absolutely unique and one of a kind. Made by a young Taiwanese ceramicist, Zhou Shengjun, who is on the rise to be a master teapot maker. His fresh eyes bring new energy to traditional teapot styles, as you can see in the teapot’s unique handle and coloring.

This clay is collected from riverbanks in the Miaoli region. It has very special energetic properties and is the reason why we chose these teapots.

Overall this teapot will enhance the flavor, aroma, and overall tea-drinking experience.

–

There is a description of the clay written in Chinese by the clay makers. The translation shares the wisdom, though in a slightly less poetic way.

Taiwanese Miaoli clay with nano silver:

This clay has far-infrared properties, similar to volcanic rock, crystal stone, serpentine, etc. The clay has an energy that is absorbed by biological cells increasing the vibration of molecules, which activates the tissue cells, is dehumidifying, antibacterial, and more. Nano-silver in the pot also has the same matching qualities.

Far-infrared ceramics are like an energy convertor, reducing radiation in the body. The ceramicist uses material science to develop a series of products that can be used to soften water quality, mellow tea leaves, reduce astringency, reduce the spiciness of spirits, and significantly strengthen metabolism.

It is a true treasure.

Volume

This teapot is 250ml. Perfect for 6-9 people.

Care Instructions

Clean with hot water and baking soda before the first use. Then simply rinse with hot water after each use.

Avoid using soap, as it may damage the clay, and remove the tea patina. If necessary, use baking soda and warm water to clean the teapot.

Since Miaoli clay teapots are porous they will absorb the essence of tea, we recommend using different teapots for different types of tea.
